Google releases updated Gemini 2.5 Pro a couple of weeks ahead of schedule based on strong developer feedback. Key improvements: better coding performance, reduced errors in function calling, improved function calling trigger rates. Available via Gemini API in Google AI Studio, and for enterprise customers via Vertex AI. Previous iteration (03-25) now redirects to the new version (05-06) automatically at the same price. Model card updated with new version details.
